Who is Erkki Otsman?

Erkki Otsman is a musician and artist born on 01.12.1966 in Tallinn, Estonia.
Here is a short summary of my artistic achievements:


1986 – 1991

Studied biologiy in Tartu’s University.

1990, 1991

Took first price in the student’s singing contest in Tartu.

1991 – 1992

Participated in dance performance “Little Prince” by A.Saint- Exupery in the theatre “Vanemuine” in Tartu.

1991 – 1993

Studied pantomime, classical, character and modern dance at Private Pantomime and Dance School in Tallinn, took private lessons in singing and solfeggio.

1993 – 1994

Concert programme “Would You Like To See A Star” about Zarah Leander’s life and songs. This program was recorded in Estonian Television.

1995 – 1998

Joined the association “Les Amis d’Edith Piaf”. Concert programme “Sous Le Ciel De Paris”(French chansons), concerts all around Estonia but also in Riga, Helsinki and Saint Petersburg.


Estonian film studio “Faama” made a portrait film “Mimikri” about Erkki’s different characters. New concert programme “Alma Latina”(Spanish and Latin-American music). Performing on the international film festival “The Black Nights” with programme of Marlene Dietrich songs “Blue Angel” in Tallinn (program was made on demand of Goethe Institut).


Participated and took a special price in the song contest organised by the association “Les Amis d’Edith Piaf” in Paris in honour of Edith Piaf’s 85-th anniversary.


Performing on the gala “Hommage ´a Edith Piaf” in Paris. Participated on the transmission of Radio France International about Estonia. In April concerts in New York durning Estonian Cultural Days. In September concerts in Paris durning “La Fete”.


In February partitipation on the transmisson of Radio France International about Estonia. In March performing on the gala “Hommage a Edith Piaf” in Paris. In April concerts in New York durning Estonian Cultural Days. In September concerts in Paris in Alliance Francaise and in Finnish Cultural Institute durning “La Fete Des Langues Européennes”.


Concerts organised by Goethe Institut and Robert Bosch Stiftung with programm “Blue Angel”(for Marlene Dietrich’s 100. anniversary) in Lithuania, Poland, Sweden and Czech Republic.


Program – Loveparade – / -Die Parade der Liebe – about Berlin’s cabaret songs from 1930 – 1940 (produced with help of Goethe Institut in Tallinn). New CD – Erkki Otsman.


Taking part in a musical “Chicago” (Mary Sunshine part). Performing in France in Bretagne festival “Les Chanteurs de Rue“ / “Streetsongs„.


Concerts in Sweden, Poland and Spain.


Rockcabaret – Youkali – about Kurt Weill’s and Bertolt Brecht’s songs with rockband and dancers. Performing in Riga with best latvian artists in Christmas show – Cabaret Allez! – organised by company Virusart.


Performing in Riga in show “Cabaret plin- plin“. Taking part in Göteborg’s Book Fair with the programme “Blue Angel“ about Marlene Dietrich songs.


Performing in Riga in show “Cabaret artelis“.


Program “Kriisiaja laulud“ / “The crisis time songs“ about Estonian songs and stories from 1930. Taking part in concerts in Jurmala in concerthall Dzintars with the programme “The best of Cabaret“.


Premiere of programme “Kabaree Marcelle“ ( music Andranik Kechek, lyrics Loone Ots ) durning festival “Tallinna Vanalinnapäevad“. Cooperation with Tallinna Filharmoonia and Eesti Kontsert producing programmes “Berlin 1930“ and “Edith and Marlene“.


Occurrence in Paris, Estonian cultural festival “Estonie Tonique”. Program “Paris 1966” (program was made in cooperation with Tallinn Philharmonic).


Concerts in Helsinki Grand Casino.


New CD “Kabaree Marcelle“ ( music Andranik Kechek, lyrics Loone Ots ). Participation in the show “Cabaret Palladium” in Latvia, Riga.
